Suntory is hiring a Senior Manager, Channel Strategy & Planning to lead the development of annual channel strategies and growth plans. You will leverage data-driven segmentation and robust Joint Business Plan frameworks to drive retail excellence and maximize market leadership across all channels.
What You'll Do
- Manage channel plans through the annual planning cycle (MTP & AOP), including high-level sources of growth.
- Review market conditions, identify key trends, and recommend changes to channel strategy.
- Lead channel planning sessions and inform the wider team of market issues and opportunities.
- Define segmentation frameworks to prioritize channels and customers based on size, value, growth, and strategic importance.
- Develop tailored plans for each channel, ensuring differentiated propositions and activation strategies.
- Prioritize investment and allocate commercial resources to maximize ROI and growth.
- Design a standardized Joint Business Plan framework for key customers, aligning objectives and KPIs.
- Integrate category growth drivers, shopper insights, and channel strategies into the JBP process.
- Define the 'Perfect Store' Picture of Success (PoS) by channel and segmentation (5Ps).
- Translate PoS into measurable KPIs, scorecards, and embed them in field execution governance.
- Enable field teams with playbooks and training, linking incentives to execution quality and sales outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Channel Management, or Category Management within the FMCG industry.
- Proven track record managing annual planning cycles (MTP/AOP), identifying growth drivers, and adapting to market trends.
- Strong ability to develop segmentation frameworks and allocate resources to maximize ROI.
- Deep understanding of the 'Perfect Store' (5Ps) concept and experience creating measurable scorecards.
- Expertise in designing and leading Joint Business Plan frameworks with key customers.
- Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into insights and execute 'Test–Learn–Scale' loops.
- Excellent English communication and stakeholder management skills to influence cross-functional teams.
