Novo Nordisk is hiring a Senior Research Scientist to join the Biophysics and Injectable Formulation research team. In this role, you will collaborate across scientific disciplines to accelerate research and design next-generation pharmaceuticals, with a focus on biophysical characterization and formulation development for various drug modalities.
What You'll Do
- Conduct biophysical characterization and screening from early discovery through to Phase 1 formulation development.
- Utilize state-of-the-art biophysical techniques in research projects.
- Design experiments to address project needs and provide recommendations for molecule design and selection.
- Work alongside scientists and laboratory technicians, sharing ideas across specializations.
- Drive the implementation of new technologies and ways of working within the department.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant scientific degree, preferably a PhD in Life Sciences.
- Comprehensive understanding of protein biochemistry and biophysics.
- In-depth experience in experimental biophysics or formulation development of biopharmaceuticals (peptides, proteins).
- Excellent communication skills and a value for teamwork.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
- PostDoc and/or industrial research experience.
- Strong collaboration and networking skills; proven ability to contribute in matrix project teams.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to draw and communicate clear conclusions from complex data.
- Desire to work in the laboratory and ability to develop fit-for-purpose assays in a high-throughput format.
- Experience with protein engineering.
- SAXS experience.
