Lead the execution of environmental site investigations and remediation efforts as a Senior Remediation Geologist in Minneapolis. This position plays a central role in managing technical aspects of contaminated site assessments, guiding project teams, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and regulators.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the planning, design, and implementation of soil, soil vapor, and groundwater remediation systems
- Develop investigation work plans, feasibility studies, and remedial action strategies
- Oversee field activities, pilot testing, and contractor performance
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure quality and compliance
- Prepare and review technical reports, engineering analyses, and regulatory submittals
- Lead proposal development and contribute to business growth strategies
- Mentor junior staff and support professional development within the team
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and present findings to clients and regulatory agencies
- Travel to project sites and client locations as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, geological engineering, or environmental science with a focus on site remediation
- Professional Geologist (P.G.) license currently registered in Minnesota
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental consulting; 10+ years preferred
- Proven experience in managing remediation projects from concept to completion
- Strong understanding of physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Background
- Advanced degree in geology or related engineering field
- Familiarity with federal and Upper Midwest state environmental regulations
- Current HAZWOPER 40-hour certification with annual refreshers
- Existing client network or market presence in the region
- Formal training in project management or leadership
Work Environment
This is an onsite role based in Minneapolis, MN, with regular fieldwork and client site visits. The position requires occasional travel and operation of company or rental vehicles for business purposes.
