Responsibilities
- Grow revenue, increase AUM of portfolio and increase inflows of net new money (NNM), achieving growth by leveraging brand, channels and RM network
- Has regular contact and meetings with clients
- Ensures client’s objectives are met through an appropriate selection of products within the client portfolio
- Ensures clients are aware of their level of risk
- Researches account and transaction records to resolve basic discrepancies, answer questions, or provide documentation on client activities
- Provides coaching and guidance to other RM’s and creates opportunities to develop their knowledge and experience level
- Lead by example by exhibiting behaviours consistent with HSBC values
- Provide assistance to fellow Relationship Managers
- Work closely with other Bank Departments
- Works closely with other Bank Departments to maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Ensures follow-up on all risk and compliance issues (such as CCR, KYC, Compliance requests, Risk Management requests, Internal Audit requests)
- Minimize operational losses
- Dealing in an ever changing and stringent regulatory environment in certain jurisdictions
- Operating in a tough KYC processing environment
- Growing business in an extremely competitive market place
Requirements
- At least 10 years of relationship management experience in the banking sector
- Proven track record in asset gathering, asset growth and revenue generation
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
- Highly developed communication skills for use in direct client contact and problem solving
- Ability to provide strong financial and statistical analysis.
- Strong customer service focus
- Attention to detail and the ability to think creatively to solve problems
- Excellent understanding of financial markets and products
