thoughtbot is looking for a Senior React Native Consultant to work directly with clients, building high-quality products and leading projects. In this role, you’ll lead by example in communication and consulting best practices while contributing to your own growth and the broader tech community.
What You'll Do
- Build React Native applications and deliver high-quality, well-tested software.
- Manage projects to ensure successful delivery.
- Partner closely with product managers, designers, developers, and clients to solve problems.
- Mentor both client and thoughtbot engineering teams in software best practices.
- Advise on product prioritization, agile process, team culture, and communication.
- Contribute to growing expertise in using AI to solve real-world client needs.
- Contribute to the broader tech community, thoughtbot, and yourself during investment time.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Experience building cross-platform mobile applications with React Native.
Nice to Have
- Experience or interest in native mobile development, such as iOS with Swift or Android with Kotlin.
- Experience or interest in web development, especially with Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with client-facing roles like consulting, teaching, or business development.
- Experience with consulting and a proven track record of attracting potential customers.
