Coinbase is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Mobile Developer Experience (DevX) team. In this role, you will shape the future of mobile development at Coinbase by crafting innovative tools with React Native and Expo that enhance the developer experience and streamline app releases.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain mobile infrastructure using React Native, iOS, and Android technologies.
• Create and enhance developer tools to streamline the mobile development process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features and improve app performance.
• Implement automation for app releases and ensure seamless OTA updates.
• Engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile development trends and technologies to drive innovation within the team.

What We're Looking For

• Expertise in React Native, or strong experience in either iOS or Android development with a willingness to learn React Native.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• A strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving developer experiences.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• A track record of contributing to high-quality, scalable mobile applications.
• Experience with mobile infrastructure and developer tooling.
• Familiarity with Swift or Kotlin.
• Knowledge of cross-platform development practices.
• Previous experience in a fintech or tech company known for mobile innovation.

You will be a member of the Mobile Developer Experience (DevX) team within the Developer Experience (DevX) organization.

Benefits & Compensation

• Base salary range: $186,065—$218,900 USD with equity eligibility.

Work Mode

This is a hybrid role. Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only, requiring in-person participation throughout the year.
