Fellow Insights Inc was looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer

Lead the development and evolution of the mobile experience for iOS and Android using Capacitor. Build intelligent meeting productivity features, operate with high ownership, and deliver performant, high-quality releases that enhance mobile user productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end ownership of iOS and Android applications built with Capacitor, overseeing the full mobile experience lifecycle.
  • Develop cross-platform features using web technologies via Capacitor while ensuring native-level performance and responsiveness.
  • Work independently to define technical direction, make architectural choices, and deliver polished releases with minimal supervision.
  • Leverage AI-powered developer tools to speed up prototyping, testing, and debugging, and help shape best practices for mobile development.
  • Build features that drive user engagement and improve product metrics by translating mobile-specific needs into intuitive experiences.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and full-stack engineers to ensure mobile interfaces are polished and feel native.
  • Implement robust testing, monitor performance and crash data, and uphold high-quality standards across app releases.
  • Gain deep expertise in Capacitor, understand its strengths and constraints, and decide when to use plugins versus native code.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years focused on iOS and/or Android platforms.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of a platform with little oversight.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset—eagerness to learn and master new technologies like Capacitor, even without prior experience.
  • Experience thriving in fast-moving environments with rapid iteration, user feedback loops, and quick shipping cycles.
  • Deep attention to mobile UX nuances, including performance, gesture handling, offline functionality, and platform-specific design patterns.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across product, design, and engineering disciplines.

Nice to Have
