Lead the development and evolution of the mobile experience for iOS and Android using Capacitor. Build intelligent meeting productivity features, operate with high ownership, and deliver performant, high-quality releases that enhance mobile user productivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end ownership of iOS and Android applications built with Capacitor, overseeing the full mobile experience lifecycle.
- Develop cross-platform features using web technologies via Capacitor while ensuring native-level performance and responsiveness.
- Work independently to define technical direction, make architectural choices, and deliver polished releases with minimal supervision.
- Leverage AI-powered developer tools to speed up prototyping, testing, and debugging, and help shape best practices for mobile development.
- Build features that drive user engagement and improve product metrics by translating mobile-specific needs into intuitive experiences.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and full-stack engineers to ensure mobile interfaces are polished and feel native.
- Implement robust testing, monitor performance and crash data, and uphold high-quality standards across app releases.
- Gain deep expertise in Capacitor, understand its strengths and constraints, and decide when to use plugins versus native code.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of software development experience, including at least 2 years focused on iOS and/or Android platforms.
- Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of a platform with little oversight.
- Strong problem-solving mindset—eagerness to learn and master new technologies like Capacitor, even without prior experience.
- Experience thriving in fast-moving environments with rapid iteration, user feedback loops, and quick shipping cycles.
- Deep attention to mobile UX nuances, including performance, gesture handling, offline functionality, and platform-specific design patterns.
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across product, design, and engineering disciplines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with hybrid mobile frameworks such as Capacitor, Ionic, Flutter, or similar.
- Hands-on development with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin).
- Proven track record of publishing and maintaining apps in the App Store and Google Play.
