Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a Senior Software Developer to architect SDKs that unify data submission across mobile platforms for our streaming products. Your primary focus will be on iOS and Android, with opportunities to extend to other platforms. You'll enable engineering teams, operations analysts, and SREs to understand data streams for millions of users to mitigate problems before outages.
What You'll Do
- Develop cross-platform libraries for iOS devices using Swift to enable data collection and submission to our data platform.
- Provide subject-matter-expertise to your team as it relates to mobile development best-practices.
- Operate independently to solve engineering problems.
- Hold yourself and your team to high standards while maintaining friendly, respectful relationships.
- Be passionate about software engineering with a strong sense of ownership for the code that you and your team write.
What We're Looking For
- 4-5+ years professional experience building mobile applications with Swift.
- A solid understanding of common software data structures and algorithms.
- Be a quick learner that can leverage surrounding resources to solve their problems.
- Passion for problem solving through software with a strong sense of ownership for the code that you and your team write, maintaining a high bar of quality.
- Desire for self-improvement proactively seeking suggestions and feedback.
Nice to Have
- Experience using languages such as Java, C#, C++, Javascript, Typescript, Brightscript.
- Experience with Android/Kotlin.
- Experience with schema design and data modeling.
- Experience working with low-latency, services operating in a 24x7 environment at scale.
- Full-stack industry experience, or hands-on familiarity with both client and server technology.
- Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS, Google App Engine, Azure, Kubernetes).
- Experience working on video streaming products a plus.
