NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Quantum Algorithm Researcher to help grow adoption of NVIDIA products and drive innovation at the intersection of quantum computing applications and AI. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to contribute to NVIDIA's quantum platform in key areas like AI for quantum algorithm discovery and advanced quantum simulations.
What You'll Do
- Establish and lead technical collaborations with supercomputing centers on hybrid quantum-classical application development across multiple industry verticals.
- Lead research pathfinding in AI for quantum algorithms.
- Drive the execution of technical results for projects in collaboration with strategic partnerships, including supercomputing centers, leading QPU builders, and researchers.
- Contribute to NVIDIA’s revenue stream through strategic technical engagement and development of innovative solutions.
- Publish impactful research and represent NVIDIA at relevant scientific, technical, and industry conferences.
What We're Looking For
- Ph.D. in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Over 9 years of experience working on Quantum Algorithms and Applications.
- Demonstrated leadership in technical collaborations with industry partners.
- Excellent programming skills in Python, C++, and a parallel programming model like CUDA.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to articulate a value proposition to technical and non-technical audiences.
- A track record of research excellence demonstrated in publications and presentations at leading conferences.
Nice to Have
- Recognized thought-leadership in the cross section of quantum applied research and high-performance computing.
- Experience with the NVIDIA Quantum platform (cuQuantum or CUDA-Q).

- Compensation: $184,000 USD - $299,000 USD for Level 4, and $224,000 USD - $356,500 USD for Level 5 + eligibility for equity.
