Role Overview
Join a growing commercial team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, working remotely with the flexibility to support projects across Europe. In this role, you will take ownership of the financial and contractual aspects of active construction projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, risk oversight, and adherence to internal procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial operations across project lifecycles, aligning with company standards and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete analyses.
- Oversee measurement of completed works and manage interim and final valuations.
- Prepare client submissions and assist in the invoicing cycle.
- Lead procurement planning for subcontractors and materials, ensuring value and compliance.
- Review subcontractor claims, manage payment certifications, and close out final accounts.
- Administer construction contracts, including change orders, variations, and dispute resolution.
- Identify and report financial risks and opportunities throughout project delivery.
- Provide expert commercial advice to project and site teams as needed.
- Maintain detailed records and generate regular reports for leadership review.
- Travel to project sites across Europe when required to support on-site commercial activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Based in Ireland, the UK, or another European country.
- Willing and able to travel to project locations across Europe as necessary.
- Direct reporting line to the Commercial Manager.
- Proven experience in a lead commercial role on live construction projects.
- Strong ability to guide project teams and enforce financial controls from inception to completion.
- Collaborative approach when working with Project Managers, Site Managers, and subcontractors.
