About the Role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects, leading a team, and ensuring financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team of quantity surveyors and commercial managers.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of projects, including cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, bids, and proposals.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgets and timelines.
  • Provide commercial advice and support to project teams.
  • Manage and resolve commercial disputes and claims.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and present commercial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business development and growth.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of commercial processes and procedures.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior team members.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve commercial performance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage and mitigate commercial risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends and industry best practices.
