AECOM is hiring a Senior Project Manager (Water Sector)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary complex projects within collaborative delivery teams
  • Provide effective support and mentoring to Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices
  • Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with organisational practice
  • Client-side project management, including stakeholder, H&S, risk, quality, schedule, and contract management
  • Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality, cost, and time
  • Support and manage the project team ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects, meeting the client and business requirements
  • Actively manage subcontractors and resources remote from the core project team
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team
  • Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients
  • Manage the submission of project management bids

Requirements

  • History of delivering in the Water industry
  • Experience in client-side project management across all stages of project delivery lifecycle
  • Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary complex projects
  • Experience in managing governance, risk, quality, schedule, and contract management

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with the Environment Agency or similar public sector clients
  • Experience in flood and coastal risk management projects
  • Mentoring experience with junior project staff such as Graduates and Apprentices

Additional Information

  • Role covers the whole project lifecycle from initial inception through design, procurement, construction tender support, NEC contract administration, and on-site delivery and commissioning
  • Must be able to support and mentor junior staff including Project Managers, Graduates and Apprentices
  • Must have experience managing subcontractors and remote resources
  • Must support business development and bid submissions
