We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Infrastructure Project Management team, working on a diverse portfolio of critical water and environmental infrastructure projects. This includes projects aligned with the £88bn AMP8 investment period for Water Companies and nationwide programmes with the Environment Agency focused on flood risk management, climate resilience, and environmental protection.
What You'll Do
- Lead the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary complex projects within collaborative delivery teams.
- Perform client-side project management, including stakeholder, H&S, risk, quality, schedule, and contract management.
- Ensure projects and commissions are delivered to the satisfaction of the client for quality, cost, and time.
- Support and manage the project team, ensuring appropriate resources are provided on projects.
- Actively manage subcontractors and resources remote from the core project team.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
- Support business development opportunities with existing and new clients.
What We're Looking For
- Infrastructure project management experience.
- Experience with the NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC).
- Experience working as part of an integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative team.
- Excellent communication, organisational, numeracy, and writing skills.
- Highly motivated with a growing industry network and strong relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work under own initiative and a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- Experience working within a client organisation, either directly or through co-location/secondment.
- Excellent IT skills and the ability to utilize current digital tools.
- Proven experience in a consulting environment providing a full spectrum of PM services including chairing meetings, minuting, developing the PEP, and progress reports.
- General post-contract management and administration, proactively engaging with stakeholders.
- A relevant degree in project management, engineering, environmental science, or a related subject, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contract management.
- Ability to undertake and successfully complete security screening checks.
Nice to Have
- Water industry experience.
- A project management qualification such as APMQ or PRINCE2.
- An associate member of a related professional body, preferably chartered (MRICS, APM, or CIOB).
