Responsibilities
- Lead client-facing projects in a benefits administration setting, aligning client expectations with service teams and cross-functional groups.
- Manage initiatives including client onboarding, service delivery improvements, system configuration, operational preparedness, and annual enrollment support.
- Serve as the primary project lead for service delivery, identifying risks, managing interdependencies, and resolving issues affecting client timelines.
- Ensure all client projects support objectives tied to client satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership success.
- Act as a reliable internal partner to ensure clear accountability and high-quality execution of client commitments.
- Lead or assist with annual enrollment projects, covering planning, coordination, readiness tracking, execution, and post-event review.
- Collaborate with service delivery, technology, product, and operations teams to ensure smooth operations during high-pressure benefit cycles.
- Use strong organizational and communication skills to balance competing client demands and reduce risks during peak periods.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in annual enrollment by capturing lessons learned and identifying process enhancements.
- Create, update, and execute detailed project plans using Smartsheet, supplemented by Jira and other project management tools as needed.
- Apply Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall approaches based on project scope, client needs, and delivery schedules.
- Enable effective collaboration among service teams, internal partners, and external vendors involved in client projects.
- Monitor and manage project timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful outcomes for clients.
- Provide clear, consistent updates on project status, milestones, risks, and results, emphasizing client impact and readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree is required; a higher degree is preferred.
- 5 to 10 years of experience with benefits administration platforms in client-facing or service delivery roles.
- Proven track record managing external clients and leading client-driven projects in benefits administration or related technology.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on project management experience on complex, cross-functional, client-facing initiatives.
- Solid knowledge of service delivery models, operational processes, and annual enrollment timelines.
- Proficiency in Smartsheet is required; experience with Jira and similar tools is essential.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities with a focus on client service.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while handling multiple client priorities.
Nice to Have
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience managing or supporting large-scale annual enrollment projects for clients.
- Background in benefits technology, consulting, or SaaS environments.
- Experience overseeing complex client implementations or service delivery overhauls.
