About the Role

Parsons Transportation Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for major infrastructure projects. You will ensure the successful execution of project plans while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety and managing critical client relationships.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions for assigned projects.
  • Act as the primary company representative with the client and key subcontractors throughout project execution.
  • Establish and oversee the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan.
  • Define project requirements and monitor all deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
  • Assign responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates based on their qualifications.
  • Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors, maintaining current change orders.
  • Mobilize company resources to build effective, high-performing project teams.
  • Provide performance review input and contribute to development plans for team members.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for all project elements.
  • Create and execute action plans to address potential cost overruns, delays, or significant scope changes.
  • Promote technical and commercial excellence through the application of Quality Assurance processes.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to management, including significant milestones and issues affecting cost or schedule.
  • Establish and lead weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
  • Market and secure additional work with existing clients.
  • Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
  • Collaborate with office facilities staff to address project space requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical or business field.
  • Approximately 20 years of related work experience, including proven project management on similar infrastructure projects like underpasses, highways, and related systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a management capacity.
  • Familiarity with integrating engineering and technical aspects with procurement and construction activities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
  • Knowledge of current technology and its effective application on projects.

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects with a clear focus on quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
