In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex, high-impact projects that shape national security within the Submarine Disposal programme, acting as deputy to the Senior Project Controls Manager.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage a multi‑discipline Project Controls team across two UK locations.
- Oversee planning, governance, and reporting for multiple submarine disposal baselines.
- Drive coherence and quality across all project controls datasets and performance metrics.
- Deliver project assurance activities across the full project lifecycle, including pre‑bid.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to over 30 project controls professionals.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in project controls, project management, or programme management.
- Proven experience leading and managing teams.
- Recent, relevant experience in cost control or finance within a comparable sector.
- Experience managing complex project controls across varied products, services, and lifecycle stages.
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or a related discipline.
- APM Project Professional Qualification (PPQ) or equivalent.
- Must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within engineering, nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated environments.
- Additional project management certifications or advanced professional memberships.
Team & Environment
You will be part of a large and diverse Project Controls team of over 30 professionals, reporting directly to the Senior Project Controls Manager as their deputy.
