Responsibilities
- Drive project execution, along with the project manager, working closely with clients, consultants, team members, and other project contributors.
- Guide and manage a team of architects, engineers, and production staff to deliver innovative projects that exceed client expectations.
- Lead research into relevant code, materials and systems, and client-specific prompts, leveraging derived insights to create unique and innovative design solutions.
- Develop thoughtful technical solutions and manage the delivery of clear and concise project documentation.
- Seek opportunities to contribute to design excellence by playing an active role in a collaborative design process.
- Participate in the conceptual design of projects and provide full support through the entire project life cycle.
- Develop and represent lead technical viewpoint on projects
- Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations
- Prepare graphics, presentations, contract drawings, and regulatory submissions
- Organize and maintain project record information and drawings
- Coordinate with clients, project consultants, and engineers
- Plan and supervise design and/or technical work of less senior architects and technicians
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the design of architectural projects
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture
- Architectural License or NCARB certification required
- Proficient in Revit and Bluebeam with advanced-level competency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to apply architectural principles to buildings/structures and their components or assemblies.
- Ability to handle designing and drafting assignments including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and sections required
- Self-motivated to meet deadlines and improve process and deliverables
- Excellent communication skills required
- Ability to write reports and specifications required
