What You'll DoTake a central role in managing the SAFEStart+ project, a multi-country effort to prevent mother-to-child transmission of infectious diseases. Lead key technical components including learning agenda development, continuous quality improvement, monitoring and evaluation, and data-driven decision-making. Guide the production of strategic reports, policy briefs, and program guidance that inform national and global scale-up of integrated service delivery models.
Oversee the creation of training tools, standard operating procedures, and implementation kits tailored to local health systems, with a focus on Francophone countries including DRC and Senegal. Coordinate knowledge dissemination to diverse audiences—country partners, donors, and global stakeholders—ensuring technical accuracy and strategic alignment. Support the design and execution of implementation science activities and performance assessments across project sites.
Act as the primary liaison with the donor, ensuring timely, high-quality reporting and compliance with funding requirements. Represent the project at international forums when needed and provide strategic updates to senior leadership. Facilitate coordination among consortium partners, including regular Project Management Team meetings, and support risk-informed program adjustments. Lead stakeholder engagement efforts, strengthen Technical Working Groups and Community Advisory Boards, and promote adaptive learning across countries.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, international development, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience managing health programs in low- and middle-income countries
- Proven background in HIV, sexually transmitted infections, viral hepatitis, or maternal and child health
- Experience designing and applying learning agendas, M&E frameworks, and data use for action
- Fluency in both English and French, spoken and written
- Skills in continuous quality improvement and quantitative data analysis
- Strong technical writing, communication, and partnership coordination abilities
- Project management experience with multilateral stakeholders
