What You'll Do
Shape the direction of digital product development by leading agile teams and defining a clear, strategic vision that reflects both customer needs and business objectives. You’ll own the end-to-end product roadmap, ensuring alignment across teams and stakeholders while guiding delivery through iterative planning and execution.
Make timely, informed decisions to advance product goals, balancing competing priorities and evolving requirements. Lead a team of Product Owners, fostering consistency in approach and accountability to shared outcomes. Facilitate communication through effective information sharing tools and actively participate in agile ceremonies to maintain momentum and transparency.
Identify and resolve obstacles that impede progress, supporting teams in maintaining focus and efficiency. Collaborate with senior leaders and business partners across functions, using influence to drive customer-focused solutions regardless of organizational structure. Use data, design thinking, and customer insights to guide product decisions and measure success through outcomes, not just deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience in business, analytics, technology, or product management; or a combined 14 years of education and relevant work experience including at least 10 years in these areas
- Proven ability to set strategic direction, assess business impact, and make independent decisions under pressure
- Experience managing competing priorities in fast-moving environments
- Demonstrated skill in gathering diverse perspectives while driving consensus and action
- Ability to work within a hybrid model requiring presence in Buffalo, NY, for at least four days per week
- Strong understanding of risk management, regulatory standards, and internal controls
- Experience leading teams, including staffing, performance reviews, and talent development
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Design Thinking methodologies and user-centered design principles
- Knowledge of Agile and Lean practices in product development
- Experience collaborating with UX teams on digital product design
- Background in building or managing digital capabilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Subject matter expertise relevant to assigned product domains
