Marriott Hotels & Resorts is looking for a Senior Product Owner to act as the primary functional and technical expert for our Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Cost Management, and EPM Profitability solutions. You will serve as the key liaison between finance stakeholders and the technical team, taking ownership of product delivery and advocating for industry best practices to meet our financial planning, budgeting, and reporting needs.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the functional and technical lead for Oracle PPM and EPM solutions.
- Take technical ownership of product delivery for financial planning and reporting systems.
- Advocate for appropriate industry standards and best practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PPM & PCMCS solutions.
- Translate detailed business requirements into technical design documents and functional system configuration requirements.
- Develop test plans and scripts, and manage unit, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
What We're Looking For
- An undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience/certification.
- 7+ years of progressive professional experience in information technology application development and support.
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle EPM implementation and support focused on design, modeling, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing the Oracle Projects & Portfolio Management module and Profitability and Cost Management cloud service module in EPM.
- 3+ years of knowledge and experience managing Oracle EBS modules like General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Project Accounting.
- At least 2-3 full-cycle Oracle implementation or migration projects focused on building integrations to Oracle EPM.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical design documents.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in clear business terms.
- Experience in agile software methodologies and DevOps practices.
Nice to Have
- 5+ years of domain experience in PPM & EPM processes relevant to the supported business function, with knowledge of the Oracle EPM/Hyperion competitive landscape.
- Understanding of Hospitality domain finance processes and Revenue Recognition.
- Experience in functional understanding, documentation, mapping, design, execution, and reconciliation of Conversion objects related to Chart of Accounts, Budgets, Forecasts, and Trial Balances.
- Experience in building PPM and EPM reports, as well as OTBI and BIP Reports; knowledge of FDI is a plus.
- Experience in managing and leading a team of consultants to deliver solutions based on an offshore model.
- Experience with SOX processes and IT General Controls.
- Ability to analyze user stories and develop end-to-end solution and functional designs.
- Experience in Business Process redesign or transformation.
- Experience in technical integrations of Third-party Tax software (Vertex, OneSource).
- Solid understanding of ETL and data migration techniques; integration design experience with external systems is a plus.
- Experience with cloud environments like OCI and AWS; customization experience using OCI is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in PPM & EPM and follow through to resolution.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests while working on time-sensitive projects and upgrades.
- Ability to work independently, identifying and driving required tasks to completion.
- Proven ability to support all aspects of large, complex applications with multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding of financial and accounting processes, including month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
- Understanding of financial budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Experience with change management and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate future integration platform opportunities.
