About the Role
The senior product manager will own the strategy and execution of platform-level products, working closely with engineering and design to deliver robust, reusable solutions that power multiple product areas.
Responsibilities
- Define long-term vision and roadmap for platform capabilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and prioritize technical dependencies
- Translate complex infrastructure needs into clear product requirements
- Drive adoption of platform services across product squads
- Monitor performance and reliability of core platform components
- Work with data teams to ensure observability and metrics coverage
- Balance technical debt with feature development in roadmap planning
- Facilitate cross-team alignment on API standards and integration patterns
- Lead discovery efforts to uncover scalability challenges
- Partner with security team to ensure compliance with internal controls
- Manage lifecycle of internal developer tools and APIs
- Gather feedback from internal stakeholders to refine platform offerings
- Identify opportunities to improve developer experience
- Champion best practices in documentation and onboarding
- Coordinate incident response and post-mortem processes for platform outages
- Evaluate third-party services for potential integration or replacement
- Maintain clear communication with leadership on platform risks and progress
- Ensure roadmap transparency across engineering and product functions
- Support hiring and onboarding of additional platform product talent
- Promote reuse of platform components to reduce duplication
