Checkmate is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own the vision and strategy for our platform and integrations. You will lead the product development lifecycle for integrations, mentor team members, and collaborate across engineering and with external partners to build scalable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Define and champion a clear, multi-year product vision and strategy for the platform and integrations.
- Mentor and develop at least one direct report.
- Conduct thorough market, customer, and competitive analysis to identify new integration opportunities.
- Develop and manage a product roadmap balancing infrastructure, new integrations, and strategic goals.
- Present product strategy, insights, and recommendations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Translate complex API specs and technical documentation into user stories and functional requirements.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle for all integrations.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to build scalable, reliable platform services and integrations.
- Identify and resolve potential issues, risks, and dependencies across internal and external systems.
- Own the relationship with external integration partners.
- Define and track KPIs for platform health, integration performance, and product success.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize the product, prioritize features, and make investment decisions.
- Act as the subject matter expert and primary advocate for the platform.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of experience in software product management, with a significant portion in a technical or platform-focused role.
- Proven track record of launching and managing successful, complex technical products like platforms, APIs, or large-scale integrations.
- Demonstrated ability and commitment to leveraging AI tools to perform job duties.
- Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring product managers.
- Expert-level technical acumen with deep understanding of APIs, system integration patterns, and platform architecture.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to derive insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills.
- Strong business and financial acumen.
- Strong presentation skills with executive presence.
- Flexibility to work during US hours at least till 5 pm ET.
- Candidates must have their own system/work setup for remote work.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Experience in restaurant SaaS.
