Sidestream is looking for a Senior Product Manager (f/m/d) to lead digital projects that create real impact. You will be responsible for taking projects from initial concept to successful launch, aligning customer needs with technical implementation, and ensuring high quality within budget.
What You'll Do
- Take lead responsibility for digital projects from start to launch, ensuring quality and budget standards are met, while managing multiple projects in parallel.
- Plan, structure, and steer projects with clarity and vision, working closely with customers and internal Tech Leads.
- Identify customer needs, translate them into clear, actionable steps for the team, track progress, and identify hurdles early to align user needs with technical reality.
- Conduct customer conversations and user interviews, gather feedback, and proactively advise customers to enable informed decisions.
- Support, promote, and lead a developer team of 2–5 people throughout the project cycle, providing feedback, conducting reviews, and taking personnel responsibility.
- Stay close to project activities, organize GitHub tasks, support testing and quality assurance, and actively contribute despite strategic responsibilities.
- Identify risks early, develop smart solutions, and think one step ahead of the project.
What We're Looking For
- Several years of experience managing complex tech projects with high personal responsibility, sovereignty, and structure.
- Tech-driven mindset: technically savvy, able to clearly grasp technical requirements and communicate them precisely between stakeholders.
- Hands-on mentality: actively shape projects, ensure pace and quality, and dive into details when necessary.
- Clear, structured, and fluent communication in both German and English.
- High-performance mindset: think ahead, tackle challenges, react flexibly to changes, take responsibility, and find pragmatic solutions.
- Residence in Germany, registered in Germany, and ability to work flexibly remotely or from the Cologne office as needed.
Nice to Have
- A developer background or private tech projects are helpful, but not mandatory.
