About the Role

The Open Home Foundation is hiring a Senior Product Manager based in Europe. You will join our Product and Design team and be responsible for the success of our products—including both software and hardware—and their strategic evolution.

What You'll Do

  • Lead a product area, shape its mission, vision, and strategy.
  • Execute product vision by bringing opportunities to life, up to delivery, together with engineers, designers, and researchers.
  • Join the day-to-day operation of product development, participating actively in anything required to get the job done.
  • Collaborate with other teams, stakeholders, and commercial partners such as Nabu Casa.
  • Involve our worldwide community in shaping your product area, from discovery to delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience delivering value to users as a product manager.
  • 3+ years of experience shaping strategy and vision for a product.
  • Meaningful experience with full autonomy, and iterative development/releasing.
  • Proficiency in working in multi-disciplinary teams (UX designers, researchers, and engineers).
  • Proficiency in communication, being able to adapt the message to the audience.
  • Comfort with public speaking during workshops, meetups, livestreams, etc.
  • Professional Fluency in English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • European Residency: You must be currently based and eligible to work within Europe.

Nice to Have

  • A passion for smart homes and automation.
  • Experience as a Home Assistant user.
  • Curiosity and passion for learning.

Team & Environment

You will be part of the Product and Design team, reporting to Jean-Loïc Pouffier. Our culture is centered on fighting for the fundamental principles of privacy, choice, and sustainability for smart homes.

  • Five weeks (twenty-five days) of paid time off.

  • If you are currently working on Home Assistant-related side projects, you can spend work time maintaining them.
  • Compensation: Netherlands: 78,000 EUR. UK: 75,000 GBP. Spain: 65,000 EUR. France: 73,000 EUR. Other countries: compensation can be discussed during the first interview.

This is a remote role for candidates located anywhere within Europe.
