As the Senior Product Line Manager for Automotive Software, you will shape the strategic direction of advanced automotive platforms, focusing on ADAS, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), and sensor fusion systems. You will define and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment across engineering, product management, and sales teams while driving revenue growth and market relevance.
What You'll Do
You will gather insights from customers, partners, market research, and internal stakeholders to inform product decisions. Partner with horizontal product teams to ensure technical feasibility and business justification for key initiatives across VxWorks, Helix Platform, Wind River Linux LTS, and eLxr. Translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and maintain product truth across cross-functional teams. Analyze competitive dynamics and industry trends to position offerings effectively in the market.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software product management or systems engineering at a Tier 1 supplier or OEM, with deep exposure to real-time operating systems or Linux-based automotive stacks
- Proven understanding of ISO 26262 and ASPICE standards
- Experience defining product roadmaps, prioritizing backlogs, and translating customer needs into technical requirements
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to assess market size, trends, and business impact
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence without authority
- Track record of aligning technical development with business objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- MBA or business acumen demonstrated through prior experience
- Bachelor’s degree with equivalent professional experience
Technical Environment
You will work across a range of technologies including RTOS, Linux, VxWorks, Helix Platform, Wind River Linux LTS, eLxr, and middleware components supporting ADAS, IVI, and fusion systems. Familiarity with automotive software development tools and processes is essential.
