Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical expert for hydraulic hose manufacturing processes, maintaining uniform standards and capabilities across all production locations.
- Lead full-cycle product industrialization, from initial design specifications to successful launch and stable mass production.
- Offer expert consultation on production technologies, material selection, and assembly methods, including escalation management and issue resolution.
- Design and refine manufacturing processes, equipment configurations, tooling, and plant layouts to meet safety, quality, cost, scalability, and performance goals.
- Ensure design for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) is aligned with product development, quality, operations, and other teams.
- Support engineering change implementation with technical oversight to ensure smooth, uninterrupted production transitions.
- Lead continuous improvement projects targeting safety, product quality, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies such as A3, 8D, DMAIC, SPC, and MSA to solve production challenges systematically.
- Lead initiatives to improve cycle time, yield, scrap rates, and overall manufacturing cost.
- Implement and enforce standardized manufacturing practices and technical specifications to ensure process reliability and consistency.
- Assist PPI Leadership in evaluating post-launch production performance to confirm process stability and compliance with industrialization protocols.
- Support monitoring of key performance indicators related to quality, efficiency, process capability, and cost to sustain technical excellence.
- Identify potential industrialization risks and coordinate risk mitigation strategies with site-based teams.
- Examine production data trends and deviations to prevent repeat issues and promote proactive improvements.
- Assist in reporting performance metrics, risks, and corrective actions to PPI, business leadership, and management teams.
- Ensure global product and process standards are implemented and followed across all manufacturing sites.
- Develop, update, and disseminate technical guidelines and best practices in collaboration with sector and plant teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in hydraulic hose industrialization, providing training, mentorship, and technical support to engineers and plant personnel.
- Support the integration of new materials, technologies, and processes through validation, documentation, and standardization.
