Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle procurement activities, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring across diverse indirect categories such as corporate vehicles, insurance, professional services, marketing, consultancy, office supplies, and general operations.
- Lead RFx processes to clearly define requirements and engage effectively with the supplier market.
- Negotiate advantageous commercial and contractual terms covering pricing, payment terms, service level agreements, and delivery schedules.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Execute procurement strategies and lead continuous improvement projects aligned with departmental goals.
- Mentor and guide procurement team members by sharing knowledge on procurement policies, systems, and industry best practices.
- Monitor market developments and evaluate innovations, especially in procurement automation, digital tools, and digitization of processes.
- Foster a culture emphasizing compliance, ethical sourcing practices, and supplier accountability.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement supports both operational demands and strategic objectives.

- Work involves supporting Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
- All individuals working on the SELT service must pass a background check acceptable to both the employer and the HO before starting duties
- SELT staff must complete a declaration form provided by the employer disclosing any criminal record or bankruptcy
- For UK-based SELT roles, background checks include a basic or enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Verification of right to work in the UK, including nationality, identity, and residence status
- HO security screening via Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Financial background screening
- Employment reference verification
- For SELT roles outside the UK, personnel must undergo background checks equivalent in scope to those required in the UK
- Individuals interacting with SELT candidates must demonstrate strong English language proficiency and, when operating outside the UK, fluency in the official language of the host country
