Responsibilities
- Partner with internal teams to understand their needs, guide purchasing decisions, lead negotiations, and help them make informed choices
- Lead vendor engagements from early conversations through signed contracts
- Use data and past deals to drive fair pricing while building strong, long-term vendor relationships
- Build and improve simple, scalable processes that help teams move quickly and make good decisions
- Own and improve the end-to-end procure-to-pay process so it runs smoothly at scale
- Keep vendor relationships organized, including contracts, renewals, and performance tracking
- Support spend across key areas including software, marketing, real estate, and professional services
- Work with the Head of Procurement to shape how Procurement works at Vanta
- Adapt as the business grows by evolving processes to meet current needs while planning for what’s ahead
Requirements
- 4 – 7 years of experience in procurement or procurement operations, ideally at a software or B2B technology company
- Strong experience negotiating vendor contracts, including both commercial terms and legal considerations
- Experience with tools like Zip, Ramp, and Navan, or similar procurement and expense management platforms
- Solid understanding of third-party risk, vendor lifecycle management, and procure-to-pay processes
- Experience building and improving processes in fast-growing companies
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and solving complex, sometimes ambiguous problems
