Lesaffre is hiring a Senior Process Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance production processes in collaboration with department managers and process engineers.
  • Evaluate production data to pinpoint improvement areas and implement actions to boost efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Spearhead the creation and execution of new production processes and the adoption of new technologies and equipment.
  • Ensure the reliable and efficient operation of production facilities by proactively tackling process-related issues and bottlenecks.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to support the professional development of team members, including process engineers, managers, supervisors, foremen, and operators.
  • Develop process technology skills across the organization using a skill matrix, performing fit/gap analysis, and reporting on knowledge development.
  • Connect with other locations to establish synergies on similar equipment and technologies and share best practices.
  • Analyze production data and process performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
  • Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reinforce a continuous improvement culture, in collaboration with the CI manager and department managers.
  • Lead investment projects and the modernization of production equipment to drive process enhancements and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate and prioritize capital expenditure proposals.
  • Ensure the seamless integration of new equipment and systems into the existing production environment with minimal disruption.
  • Drive innovation in Industry 4.0 applications, remote monitoring, and data integration in decision-making, collaborating with Digital, Data & Tech teams to share and implement best practices and technologies.
  • Ensure plant operations comply with all relevant regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) metrics.
  • Collaborate with the EHS team to identify and mitigate potential risks, and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.
  • Work with site leadership to achieve sustainability goals, with a focus on CO2 neutrality, water conservation, and waste reduction.
  • Engage in the development of annual sustainability action plans, track progress via ESG metrics, and report outcomes to global headquarters.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a culture of sustainability, including training programs and cross-departmental green teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in process engineering and project management.
  • Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills, with the ability to guide and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
  • Experience with capital expenditure projects and equipment modernization.
  • Familiarity with EHS metrics and sustainability practices.
  • Ability to analyze production data and process performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or a related continuous improvement methodology.
