General Motors is hiring a Senior Process Engineer

About the Role

General Motors is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to own new program implementation, equipment design, and plant support. You will manage projects from SOR preparation through launch and continuous improvement, ensuring production of high-quality parts.

What You'll Do

  • Lead new program implementation including SOR preparation, forecasting, controls design, equipment builds, run-off, and buyoff.
  • Design, integrate, and install equipment and tools required for plant production.
  • Manage supplier deliveries to meet program timing milestones.
  • Provide project report outs to senior management.
  • Support existing programs and sites through troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate effectively with all customers and plants.
  • Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers and suppliers.
  • Design and troubleshoot electrical controls systems.
  • Participate in preliminary tooling and process design meetings with engineers and strategic suppliers.
  • Assess and approve controls drawings and conduct controls run-offs at supplier sites.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of experience as a Controls Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related role.
  • Five (5) years of experience with mechanical concepts involving machine designs and process requirements.
  • Five (5) years of experience with PLC and HMI programming, including Ethernet and Devicenet networks.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Five (5) years of experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley.
  • Four (4) years of experience with Servo motors, motion control and drives.
