Responsibilities
- Client development & revenue growth (seller–doer): Originate, expand, and retain client relationships; meet or exceed annual personal sales and delivery targets; lead pursuit strategy, scoping, and pricing; partner with cross‑functional colleagues to craft compelling proposals and thought leadership.
- Expert services & testimony: Serve as consulting expert and testifying expert in litigation and regulatory matters (depositions, reports, oral testimony). Translate complex epidemiologic analyses for legal and executive audiences.
- Project leadership: Design and manage multi‑workstream epidemiology engagements (e.g., exposure–response, incidence/prevalence, risk assessment, causal inference), overseeing study design, protocol development, and QC/QA of analyses and deliverables.
- Methods & analytics: Apply rigorous methods (case–control, cohort, time‑series, meta‑analysis, survival analysis, sensitivity analyses) and modern tools (R, Python, SAS, Stata) to generate defensible, decision‑grade insights.
- Practice building: Mentor junior staff and contribute to go‑to‑market collateral and external visibility (publications, conferences, webinars, client briefings)
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD, ScD, or DrPH) in Epidemiology from a regionally accredited, research‑intensive (non‑profit) university.
- ~7-15+ years of post‑graduate, client‑facing consulting experience delivering epidemiology projects (litigation, regulatory, or risk management contexts).
- Proven seller‑doer track record with a portable book of business (size/sector mix to be discussed), including demonstrated annual origination and revenue delivery.
- Expert witness/testifying experience (deposition and/or courtroom), including authorship of expert reports and demonstrable effectiveness under cross‑examination.
- Advanced proficiency with epidemiologic methods and statistical software (R, Python, SAS, SPSS, or Stata) and the ability to direct analysts and external partners.
- Exceptional communication skills - capable of framing complex methods and results for attorneys, regulators, and corporate leaders.

- Familiarity with U.S. litigation.
- Existing visibility: publications, conference presentations, committee roles, and professional society leadership.

- A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $150,000 - $300,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
