Role Overview
As a Senior PreSales Solutions Architect, you will play a central role in shaping how pharmaceutical and biotech organizations leverage scientific data and artificial intelligence. Based in Düsseldorf or Darmstadt, you'll serve as a key technical advisor, working directly with customers to understand their research workflows, data environments, and strategic objectives. Your expertise will bridge scientific requirements with technical implementation, ensuring solutions are both impactful and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical liaison for strategic accounts, guiding customers from initial discovery through solution adoption
- Assess existing data infrastructures and scientific workflows to identify integration opportunities and technical requirements
- Design and present customized demonstrations that align with customer-specific use cases and business outcomes
- Lead technical evaluations, proof-of-concept deployments, and co-innovation initiatives with R&D teams
- Translate scientific and business challenges into scalable technical architectures using AI-native platforms
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product teams to ensure technical feasibility and roadmap alignment
- Deliver prescriptive guidance on data management, AI integration, and cloud infrastructure—particularly within environments leveraging Databricks and Google Cloud
- Identify risks early, recommend optimizations, and support resolution of escalated technical issues
- Contribute to RFP responses with detailed technical proposals and solution mappings
- Support customer success by accelerating time-to-value and improving system stability and scalability
Required Expertise
- Proven ability to engage with scientists, IT leaders, and technical stakeholders in life sciences organizations
- Strong understanding of scientific data architectures, lab informatics, and cloud-based AI infrastructure
- Experience mapping business requirements to technical solutions and evaluating ROI for proposed implementations
- Skilled in delivering technical presentations and hands-on sessions to diverse audiences
- Ability to coordinate across cross-functional teams and manage complex presales workflows
- Deep familiarity with platforms such as Databricks and Google Cloud is highly advantageous
