Responsibilities
- Design and advance power delivery architectures for data center and high-performance computing systems, including multiphase voltage regulators and intermediate bus converters.
- Develop low-voltage, high-current power distribution networks capable of supporting 500A to over 1000A for specialized processor units, GPUs, and acceleration hardware.
- Utilize control theory fundamentals to enhance the efficiency, stability, and dynamic response of power conversion systems.
- Evaluate and select power electronics components such as MOSFETs, inductors, transformers, and magnetics using manufacturer software and interface tools.
- Partner with integrated circuit and packaging engineering teams to maintain signal and power integrity in complex, high-density circuit board designs.
- Create and execute laboratory test procedures using oscilloscopes and measurement instruments to validate power subsystem performance.
- Develop automated scripts to streamline device characterization and accelerate data processing workflows.
- Interface with power management integrated circuits using I2C, SPI, and PCIe communication protocols for system integration and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, thermal, firmware, and silicon development engineers to align system requirements.
