About the Role
This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processing for the UK, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and labor laws, while supporting internal stakeholders and resolving employee inquiries efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for UK employees accurately and on schedule
- Ensure compliance with UK tax legislation and statutory requirements
- Collaborate with local partners to verify payroll submissions
- Reconcile payroll data with financial and HR systems
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly and professionally
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll regulations
- Support audits by providing accurate payroll records
- Verify tax code applications and adjustments
- Manage year-end processes including P60 and P11D preparation
- Assist with payroll reporting and data analysis
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently
- Ensure proper documentation for all payroll activities
- Support onboarding and offboarding related to payroll setup
- Work closely with HR and finance teams for data accuracy
- Implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data
- Stay current with changes in UK employment laws affecting payroll
- Assist in payroll system testing and updates
- Coordinate with external payroll providers when necessary
- Track and report on payroll key performance indicators
- Support ad hoc payroll projects and initiatives
- Ensure timely submission of HMRC payments and filings
- Manage pension contributions in line with UK regulations
- Handle payroll adjustments and corrections with precision
- Provide backup support for other regional payroll tasks
