Infosys Consulting is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join our Central Network Support (CNS) Team. In this role, you will support and develop a Tier1 ISP network across multiple platforms and countries, with the primary goal of ensuring the stability of a multi-terabit IP/MPLS core network.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and operate large-scale IP Networks.
- Troubleshoot complex issues in extensive IP networks running protocols like OSPF, ISIS, BGP and MPLS applications such as L2VPN, L3VPN, 6PE.
- Inform and counsel superiors to manage major technical escalations and plan operational improvements.
- Collaborate within a team of engineers from different departments and vendors.
- Produce consistent and detailed high-quality documentation.
- Work on trouble tickets, contributing high-quality information, responding promptly, and ensuring updates are made within SLAs.
- Perform change management tasks including creation, approval, correlation, and coordination of changes from various vendors and departments.
- Work with the NMC to ensure appropriate alarms are generated from networking equipment and that they prioritize and escalate issues clearly.
- Liaise with vendors for incident and problem management.
- Work on shifts.
- Certify Junos, IOS, and IOS-XR configurations before deployment.
- Maintain and upgrade the Corporate International IP/MPLS network.
What We're Looking For
- Proven ability to resolve complex network issues across multiple platforms, including Juniper, Cisco, and Alcatel/Nokia.
- An enthusiastic approach to understanding key technical areas and maintaining network stability.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting large-scale IP/MPLS networks.
- Deep experience with routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP) and MPLS applications (L2VPN, L3VPN, 6PE).
- Ability to work on shifts.
- Strong high-quality documentation skills.
