At Sopra Steria, we are looking for a Senior Network Consultant to play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the network infrastructure for our APAC electronic markets. You will be responsible for ensuring network stability, resolving problems with efficiency, and delivering quality IT support services.
What You'll Do
- Proactively and accurately resolve network problems to ensure electronic market stability.
- Oversee the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network infrastructure.
- Document all network hardware, software, and telecom circuits, keeping an up-to-date network inventory.
- Configure and optimize network services, both internal and internet-based.
- Analyze and resolve network service problems in a timely manner, providing reports and documentation as needed.
- Deliver proximity IT Support services, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on service metrics.
- Ensure compliance with Group instructions, especially IT Security guidelines and Global ITI&P Governance.
- Guarantee the functioning of the APAC electronic market network infrastructure, considering business and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and coordinate with vendors.
- Provide support during morning shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Travel occasionally within APAC for data center projects.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in network services.
- Experience in system administration using Linux / RHEL in a trading or business application environment.
- Familiarity with x86 hardware, server networking peripherals, and data center setup.
- Good knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl) and system tools to formulate quick solutions.
- Familiarity with technical troubleshooting, system recovery, root cause analysis, and coordinating vendors and remote technical staff.
- Ability to provide support for X Window, Linux desktop software, and end-user equipment.
- Ability to provide balanced, quality advice and guidance to application teams and business users.
- Good IT aptitude complying with the ITIL framework (Incident Management, Change Management).
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently in a highly dynamic environment.
- Strong ability to work under pressure, both individually and as part of a team.
Nice to Have
- Holder of vendor certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA is preferable.
