Role Overview
As a Senior Messaging Engineer, you will play a key technical role in maintaining and enhancing our global messaging platform. Reporting into the Digital Workplace Messaging team within IT Operations, you will act as a second-level escalation point for email-related issues, ensuring high availability and secure delivery across hybrid environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain core messaging systems, including Microsoft Exchange (on-premises and cloud) and Linux-based transactional email platforms such as Postfix and Sendmail.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents, providing expert-level support for complex email delivery and configuration issues.
- Ensure accurate documentation by updating system logs and generating regular reports for leadership review.
- Participate in technical projects related to messaging infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements, and architectural evolution.
- Enforce governance standards, security policies, and compliance controls across all messaging services.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in messaging administration within large, multinational organizations.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience managing hybrid Exchange environments across multiple Active Directory forests.
- Proven track record administering transactional email systems on Linux platforms.
- Strong understanding of email security protocols including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise mail relays, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Exchange certifications (on-premises and online) are highly valued.
Work Environment
This role supports fully remote work from home with presence required only for periodic company events. Based in Slovakia, the position operates within a stable, globally established organization with a strong local presence in the Košice region.
