Accesa is hiring a Senior Mendix Engineer

Our client is a trusted partner in the German financial and banking sector, supporting a large-scale IT landscape used by thousands of users and powering business-critical applications. Operating in a highly regulated environment, the organization places a strong emphasis on governance, security, and operational excellence. We are looking for a Senior Mendix Engineer to join our team and support the transition, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications built on the client's Mendix platform. As part of this role, you will contribute to the successful takeover of an existing application landscape, ensuring a smooth handover while driving further enhancements and maintaining high-quality delivery. The project is a new engagement for our organization and involves taking over an existing Mendix-based application ecosystem from another delivery team. A structured handover and knowledge transfer phase will ensure a smooth transition. The delivery team will consist of Mendix, Java, and Business Analysis professionals working closely together to deliver and continuously improve business-critical applications. Responsibilities - Ensure a smooth transition: Participate in knowledge transfer activities with the incumbent team to ensure a seamless onboarding and continuity of delivery - Build robust enterprise applications: Analyze business requirements, design technical solutions, and develop, maintain, and optimize enterprise applications using Mendix, including microflows, domain models, pages, and workflows - Deliver integrated, high-quality solutions: Collaborate with Java Engineers to develop custom components and integrations, connect applications with external systems through REST, SOAP, and other APIs, and ensure code quality through reviews and adherence to development standards - Drive technical excellence: Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues, contribute to architecture discussions, and support technical decision-making to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions - Collaborate across teams: Work closely with Business Analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, actively participating in Agile ceremonies to ensure successful project delivery - Nurture knowledge: Mentor and support team members, sharing expertise and promoting development best practices across the team
