Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical development of a new aerial vehicle, managing the full lifecycle from concept through low-rate production.
- Define system requirements, develop solution options, and create evaluation methods for mechanical subsystems.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, software, and systems teams to integrate components into a robust, scalable, and economical platform.
- Guide design validation efforts, including analysis, prototyping, and execution of test strategies.
- Engage in the improvement of internal tools, documentation standards, and engineering workflows.
- Foster a dynamic, supportive, and high-performing team culture focused on learning and innovation.
- Optimize mechanical designs considering development timeline, weight, production feasibility, and cost constraints.
- Participate in key customer-facing hardware demonstrations as required.
- Conduct site visits to suppliers and test locations when necessary.

- Must be eligible to obtain and retain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
- Travel to test sites and vendors as needed.
- Support customer demonstrations involving critical hardware components.
