About the Role
The Senior Manager, Project Finance will lead financial strategy and analysis for renewable energy projects from development through operation, ensuring sound financial structuring, accurate forecasting, and effective stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling and analysis for renewable energy project development and acquisitions
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and reporting packages
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project financing and capital structuring
- Evaluate investment opportunities using financial metrics and risk assessments
- Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and external financial partners
- Oversee due diligence processes for project transactions
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare executive-level presentations and board materials
- Monitor project performance against financial targets
- Support negotiation of power purchase agreements and other commercial contracts
- Coordinate with legal and tax advisors on transaction structures
- Track and report on key financial indicators and variances
- Assist in the preparation of offering memorandums and investor decks
- Maintain financial databases and project tracking systems
- Provide strategic input on capital allocation decisions
- Lead financial aspects of project close processes
- Ensure accurate and timely financial disclosures
- Drive process improvements in financial planning and reporting
- Support integration of acquired projects into financial systems
- Work closely with engineering and development teams on cost estimation
- Manage external audit and financing audit requirements
- Stay current on tax incentives and regulatory changes affecting project finance
- Train and mentor junior finance team members
- Ensure alignment between project execution timelines and financial milestones
- Contribute to enterprise risk management frameworks
