Chobani is seeking a Senior Manager of Legal Affairs - Paralegal to join our Legal team. In this role, you will focus on supporting our Labor & Employment, Total Rewards, and Compliance practice areas by managing legal operations, documents, and analytics. You will report directly to the Legal Vice-President, Labor & Employment and Compliance.
What You'll Do
- Partner with attorneys and business partners in all employment, labor, and benefits litigation matters, managing the litigation docket, discovery compliance, e-discovery, and litigation hold processes.
- Review pleadings from outside counsel and prepare position statements under VP Legal supervision.
- Advise on HR compliance areas, including policy development and training.
- Support the VP Legal in managing the Compliance program, including administrative oversight of the incident reporting platform.
- Coordinate with the VP Legal to oversee Immigration matters, collaborating with People Team stakeholders and external counsel.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and revise various vendor and commercial agreements, including professional services agreements and statements of work.
- Serve as a trusted legal advisor to internal stakeholders on legal issues, disputes, and contractual obligations, managing the contract intake and renewal docket.
- Define and drive strategic and operational initiatives to improve and automate Legal Department processes.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for managing legal software and tech solutions, including the document management system, litigation hold system, sanctions screening platform, and Compliance training platform.
- Identify KPIs, benchmarks, and metrics to report on the Legal Department’s performance, data, and analytics for litigation and Compliance matters.
- Manage weekly legal review meetings with cross-functional business partners.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a litigation paralegal.
- Proficiency in Office365 and strong working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with legal operations platforms to improve department efficiencies.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.
Nice to Have
- Focus on labor & employment litigation.
- Paralegal certification.
- Familiarity with CPG food manufacturing and distribution, food industry regulations, and compliance matters.
