About the Role

Viatris Pharmaceuticals S.L. is looking for a Senior Manager, Innovation Medical Operations - US to lead operational excellence, KOL relationship management, and medical innovation initiatives. In this role, you will ensure compliance, manage external stakeholders, and support the planning and execution of medical affairs activities.

What You'll Do

  • Focus on Operational Excellence: improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, and align medical activities with the overarching company strategy.
  • Focus on KOL Relationship Management: understand KOL medical education needs and competitor offerings, and align KOL selection with company strategy.
  • Focus on Innovation: understand medical innovation, uniquely meet HCP innovation-based education needs, and increase use of innovative education materials.
  • Support annual medical plan development and track tactical deliverables for Medical Affairs Planning & Execution.
  • Manage timelines, project plans, documentation, and progress reports/dashboards.
  • Coordinate with internal medical teams and the M&E team for the execution of congresses, advisory boards, and symposia.
  • Manage Fair Market Value (FMV) assessments, abstracts, and publications tracking.
  • Contract, onboard, and oversee vendors/agencies for medical projects.
  • Ensure medical processes align with SOPs, manage content review/approvals (MRC process), track HCP payments, grants, sponsorship requests, and operational risk logs for compliance.
  • Support budget planning and quarterly forecast submissions.
  • Track Purchase Order creation, spending, and vendor invoicing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medicine.
  • 3–8 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Operations, Compliance, or a relevant domain.
  • Knowledge of the US Innovation Medical Operations Specialist roles for Pain/WH/Eyecare, clinical trials, and relevant therapeutic areas.
  • Understanding of applicable SOPs, Standards for Interactions with U.S. Healthcare Providers, Federal and State promotional laws, the PhRMA Code, ACCME Standards, and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Strong project management and multi-tasking ability.
  • Understanding of compliance, data privacy, and medical governance.
  • Analytical skills to interpret medical insights and operational trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Experience with stakeholder coordination and vendor management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and dashboards.
  • Driven by personal accountability and high performance.
  • Ability to set and accomplish compelling goals individually and in a team.
  • Motivated to overcome challenges, seek opportunities, and develop personally and professionally.
  • Comfortable with change.

  • Typically sitting at a desk or table with intermittent movement; periodic travel required.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s in Pharmaceutical Management or MBA.
  • Experience with MLR systems like Veeva PromoMats or Zinc.
  • Familiarity with congress operations, medical content workflows, or HCP engagement.
  • Ability to understand pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Exposure to digital or CRM platforms.
