About the Role
Leads and oversees global trade compliance investigations and voluntary disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies across international jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage investigations related to global trade compliance matters
- Oversee the preparation and submission of voluntary disclosures to regulatory bodies
- Ensure compliance with export control, customs, and trade regulations
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operational teams across regions
- Develop and implement corrective action plans based on investigation findings
- Lead cross-functional teams in resolving complex trade compliance issues
- Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
- Identify systemic risks in trade practices and recommend improvements
- Provide guidance on regulatory interpretations and compliance strategies
- Manage external consultants and legal counsel as needed
- Track and report on investigation progress to senior management
- Ensure timely responses to government inquiries and enforcement actions
- Support internal audits and compliance assessments
- Develop training materials for trade compliance awareness
- Stay current on changes in international trade laws and regulations
- Coordinate with global sites to ensure consistent compliance practices
- Evaluate potential violations and determine appropriate escalation paths
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive investigations
- Drive continuous improvement in investigation methodologies
- Serve as a subject matter expert for trade compliance leadership
