Responsibilities
- Serve as the main technical contact for major datacenter customers, guiding power system designs from initial concept to mass production.
- Offer deep technical expertise on digital multiphase controllers, power modules, and advanced power delivery systems for servers.
- Conduct reviews of schematics, provide layout recommendations, and support validation planning, startup, power sequencing, transient response testing, and debugging.
- Produce and deliver technical documentation for customers, including validation outcomes, progress updates, and final program reports.
- Diagnose and resolve complex power-related issues quickly using oscilloscopes, current probes, electronic loads, and transient testing equipment.
- Oversee and advance technical issue escalations with internal engineering groups to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of field applications engineers specializing in digital power and datacenter technologies.
- Define clear roles, performance expectations, and technical growth goals for each team member.
- Develop onboarding and training programs for new hires and junior engineers to prepare them for lab activities and client interactions.
- Manage resource distribution by aligning team capacity and skills with customer demands.
- Perform performance evaluations, support career progression, and foster a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and technical excellence.
- Oversee technical execution for high-priority datacenter programs, including AI processors, server CPUs, and networking infrastructure.
- Work closely with sales teams to align technical resources, customer priorities, and project timelines.
- Maintain visibility into program progress using dashboards that track milestones, risks, capital needs, and next actions.
- Ensure consistent implementation across teams during design, layout, testing, reporting, and customer sign-off phases.
- Deliver concise and meaningful program updates to senior management.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to relay customer feedback and help shape future product development.
- Advocate for field-driven insights to influence next-generation digital multiphase and modular power solutions.
- Coordinate technical transitions and joint engagements between global field applications teams.
- Support the development of technical materials, training modules, and best practices for use across the field applications organization.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid work model: remote work allowed two days a week; in-office days are Tuesday through Thursday for innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
