About the Role
This role involves owning legal strategy and execution across commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance, while collaborating closely with product, engineering, and sales teams to support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end negotiation and drafting of customer and vendor contracts
- Advise internal teams on legal risks related to product development and data privacy
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international regulations
- Manage intellectual property portfolios and domain strategies
- Support corporate governance and board-level reporting requirements
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates and legal playbooks
- Collaborate with sales and customer success on deal structuring
- Oversee third-party legal service providers and outside counsel
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations
- Provide training to internal stakeholders on legal policies
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions due diligence
- Handle disputes and litigation coordination
- Maintain legal entity compliance across jurisdictions
- Support fundraising and investor relations activities
- Draft and review marketing and promotional materials for legal accuracy
Nice to Have
- Experience working at a venture-backed startup
- Prior work with remote-first organizations
- Additional certifications in privacy law (e.g., CIPP/US)
- Familiarity with AI or workflow automation platforms
- Knowledge of employment law in multiple jurisdictions
