Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws in AI model training and deployment
- Guide product teams on legal risks associated with machine learning systems
- Monitor evolving regulations related to artificial intelligence and automated decision-making
- Support global expansion efforts with jurisdiction-specific legal assessments
- Manage outside counsel in IP litigation and prosecution matters
- Develop internal training materials on IP and AI legal best practices
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to conduct legal risk assessments
- Draft and maintain policies for ethical AI use and transparency
- Oversee trademark and copyright registration processes
- Evaluate third-party IP risks in software dependencies and data sources
- Advocate for balanced IP strategies that support open innovation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of patent law as it applies to software and AI inventions
