About the Role
The role involves delivering comprehensive legal support to a rapidly scaling financial platform, focusing on regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, and legal strategy in a cross-border context.
Responsibilities
- Lead legal risk assessments across product development and market expansion initiatives
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and operational agreements
- Ensure compliance with Danish and EU financial regulations and data protection laws
- Advise internal teams on corporate governance and regulatory requirements
- Support regulatory reporting and engagement with supervisory authorities
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and recommend proactive legal responses
- Collaborate with international teams on cross-jurisdictional legal matters
- Manage intellectual property and brand protection strategies
- Oversee external legal counsel and coordinate legal budgets
- Develop and deliver legal training to internal stakeholders
- Assist in dispute resolution and litigation management
- Guide internal investigations and compliance audits
- Maintain legal entity records and corporate documentation
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
- Provide input on customer communication and marketing compliance
- Work closely with product and engineering teams on legal implications of new features
- Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering and know-your-customer regulations
- Contribute to crisis management and incident response planning
- Evaluate legal aspects of third-party partnerships and vendor relationships
- Support internal policy development and governance frameworks
- Assist in the implementation of regulatory sandboxes or innovation programs
- Prepare legal opinions and internal advisory memos
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulators
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial technology legal trends
- Promote a culture of legal compliance across departments
