Power International Holding is hiring a Senior HSE Officer

The Senior HSE Officer implements health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and standards. This role includes conducting risk assessments, leading incident investigations, delivering HSE training, and supporting project teams in maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HSE policies, procedures, and programs to meet regulatory and industry standards.
  • Perform risk assessments and audits to detect hazards, assess risks, and apply effective control measures.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Deliver HSE training and educational programs to enhance employee awareness and commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Monitor HSE performance indicators, analyze trends, and use data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies, clients, and stakeholders on HSE compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Produce HSE reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external audiences, including key insights and recommendations.
  • Carry out HSE inspections and audits to verify adherence to laws, standards, and best practices.
  • Promote ongoing HSE performance improvement by applying lessons learned, best practices, and feedback systems.
  • Advise management, department leaders, and project teams on HSE matters, encouraging proactive risk management and excellence.
  • Support HSE initiatives, engage in safety awareness efforts, and assist in incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • NEBOSH certification or Level 6 OHS Diploma.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience.
  • At least three years of relevant HSE experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage HSE programs and convey requirements to diverse stakeholders.
  • Technical proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and control implementation.
  • Analytical capability to assess HSE metrics, monitor trends, and pinpoint areas needing improvement.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver effective HSE training to ensure employee compliance and awareness.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, with SAP functional skills required for role success.

Nice to Have

  • Two years of work experience in the GCC region is advantageous.
