This role serves as a strategic HR advisor to the commercial business, operating within a complex international matrix. Reporting to the HR Director for the Netherlands, the Senior HR Business Partner aligns local workforce priorities with global HR objectives, ensuring coherence across regions while addressing country-specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate global HR strategy into actionable plans tailored to the commercial organization’s goals and operational realities.
- Coach and guide managers and employees on performance management, career development, organizational change, and restructuring initiatives.
- Lead national HR projects and act as a key contributor within the local HR team, driving continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with HR Centers of Excellence in areas such as Total Rewards and Talent Management to ensure integrated solutions.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to refine hiring and onboarding processes for improved candidate and employee experience.
- Create and manage leadership and employee development programs that build future-ready capabilities across all levels.
- Support organizational design efforts, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, agility, and team performance.
- Design and implement engagement and culture programs that strengthen workplace morale and support a high-trust environment.
- Work with cross-functional teams to maintain positive employee relations and reinforce organizational values.
- Develop clear, impactful HR communications in coordination with internal stakeholders, including PR.
- Deliver timely HR analytics to inform decision-making and measure program effectiveness.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR or a related field, with 7–10 years of progressive HR experience covering Employee Relations, Organizational Design, Talent Management, Recruitment, and Total Rewards. Experience in an international, matrixed environment is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are required, along with fluency in both Dutch and English. In-depth understanding of Dutch labor law and employment practices is critical for success in this role.
