Remote Talent LATAM is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to craft and oversee comprehensive signage packages, with a specialized focus on ADA-compliant signage. You will translate complex client needs and regulatory requirements into effective solutions, managing projects from design to production within a fast-paced, team-oriented culture.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop diverse signage packages, including dimensional lettering, regulatory signage, large format graphics, vehicle wraps, banners, and commercial signage.
- Serve as team expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) for high-quality design work.
- Design and manage implementation of ADA-compliant signage, including specification and layout of tactile characters and Grade 2 Braille.
- Collaborate with project managers, production team, and clients to ensure design intent is met and client expectations are exceeded.
- Create professional mock-ups for client review and approval.
- Manage multiple design projects, prioritize team workflow, and ensure adherence to deadlines and budgets.
- Prepare detailed production-ready artwork files for manufacturing.
- Process and manage print-ready files using RIP software, optimizing layouts for material efficiency and print quality.
- Operate wide-format digital printers and vinyl plotters, overseeing printing and cutting processes.
- Perform pre-press checks on artwork to resolve potential production issues.
- Assist with quality control of printed and finished products to ensure company standards are met.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years professional experience in graphic design within the signage or large-format printing industry.
- Proven expertise in designing ADA-compliant signage, including tactile graphics, Grade 2 Braille, and understanding of accessibility standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong knowledge of print production processes, color management, and file preparation for manufacturing.
- Familiarity with RIP software (e.g., Onyx, Caldera, FlexiSIGN-PRO).
- Demonstrated experience operating wide-format roll-to-roll printers and vinyl plotters.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
- Ability to lead, manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively for a team, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present and defend design concepts to clients and management.
- Ability to work independently, mentor others, and contribute as part of a collaborative team.
